Irish CSO Milk Statistics Review of June 2012
Domestic milk intake was down 1.9% in June.
Domestic milk intake by creameries and pasteurisers was estimated as 687.4 million
litres for June 2012. This was 1.9% below the corresponding 2011 figure. See
graph.
Comparing the June 2012 milk produce figures with those for June 2011 showsthat:
- Total milk sold for human consumption decreased by 4.0% to 40.8 million litres.
- Butter production was up 4.9% to 19,400 tonnes.
