Irish CSO Reports - Milk Statistics August 2015
Domestic milk intake up 14.2% in August
Domestic milk intake by creameries and pasteurisers was estimated at 694.6 million litres for August 2015.
This was 14.2% above the corresponding 2014 figure.
Comparing the August 2015 milk produce figures with those for August 2014 shows that:
- Total milk sold for human consumption increased by 11.3% to 43.6 million litres.
- Butter production was up 8.1% to 18,900 tonnes.
