Irish CSO Reports: Milk Statistics September 2013
Domestic milk intake was up 12% in September.
Domestic milk intake by creameries and pasteurisers was estimated at 500.4 million litres for September 2013. This was 12% above the corresponding 2012 figure.
Comparing the September 2013 milk produce figures with those for September 2012 shows that:
- Total milk sold for human consumption increased by 0.5% to 39.7 million litres.
- Butter production was up 26.9% to 13,700 tonnes.
