Authorities of the Ministry of Agricultural Development in Panama toured the facilities of a new plant for the production of concentrated animal feed, built by the Dairy Producers Cooperative, COOLECHE, according to a government-issued press release.

The work, with an investment of approximately 12 million balboas, is located in the COOLECHE industrial complex, in La Victoria de Boquerón, province of Chiriquí.

The president of the board of directors of COOLECHE, Juan Gregorio Fillis, said that the plant, built with first world technology, considers the care of the environment, the health of workers and the community in general, providing the country with high-quality food for cattle, horses and minor species.

The president of the Association of Milk Producers of Panama, APROGALPA, Venancio González, pointed out that this is an initiative of great economic benefit for the country, especially for the dairy sector, which will now be able to improve the quality of the product and obtain higher yields.

The regional director of MIDA, Félix Martínez, assured that the agricultural sector is the one that wins with this type of investment, which demonstrates the confidence of the private company in the management of the National Government, seeking "with a firm step" better days for national livestock.
