Brazil and Uruguay improve measures for dairy trade
Border control, imported products discussed at bilateral meetingOne of the main demands of producers in the southern region of Brazil was to establish measures to strengthen the milk production chain in Brazil, according to a press release from the ministry of agriculture. These issues were discussed during a bilateral meeting between the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Carlos Fávaro and the Minister of Agriculture, Grains and Fisheries of Uruguay, Fernando Mattos.
Faced with the demands that have been presented by the dairy sector, one of the points of convergence between Brazil and Uruguay is the improvement of border control conditions and products imported from both sides.
Another issue addressed during the meeting was cooperation between countries in the fly control program.
