Neogen's AquaPrime NeoKlor has been reviewed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), and the institute determined that Nneogen's water disinfectant is in compliance with the USDA National Organic Program, with usage restrictions.

AquaPrime NeoKlor is a 7.5 percent sodium chlorite solution that is EPA-approved for usage in drinking water for livestock and potable water disinfection. AquaPrime NeoKlor can be used in combination with a chlorine dioxide generator to disinfect the drinking water of poultry, swine, cattle and other livestock operations. The product can also be used to disinfect food plant process, poultry process and industrial cooling water, and for clean-in-place water disinfection and wastewater systems.

“This important OMRI certification for NeoKlor demonstrates Neogen's continuing commitment to the long-term sustainability of the industries we serve, our customers, and the needs of our downstream consumers throughout the global markets that we serve,” said Neogen’s Jesse McCoy, a Certified Water Specialist.

AquaPrime NeoKlor is part of Neogen’s Water Treatment Program. AquaPrime Activator and AquaPrime Trigger are used with AquaPrime NeoKlor to generate chlorine dioxide to disinfect animal drinking water. AquaPrime Trigger is a strong acid blend that can also be used alone to adjust the pH of animal drinking water, in addition to activating AquaPrime NeoKlor. AquaPrime Peraside 15 is a 15 percent peroxyacetic acid-based product that is EPA-approved to clean and treat poultry and livestock drinking water lines.
