FrieslandCampina Signs up for Ellen MacArthur’s Plastic Commitment
NETHERLANDS - FrieslandCampina has signed The New Plastics Economy Global Commitment, led by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.

With this commitment to work towards 100 percent reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging by 2025 or earlier, the company has taken the next step to realise its ambition to make all new plastic 100 percent recyclable, worldwide.
FrieslandCampina’s signing of The New Plastics Economy Global Commitment follows that of the Plastic Pact NL on 21 February.
Simone Boitelle, Corporate Director Corporate Affairs and Communication, said: "Lead with sustainability is in the core of our strategy. That is why, as part of our commitment we have signed up to The New Plastics Economy Global Commitment."
Rico IJzerman, Corporate Director Sustainability, added: "As a global company with ownership of and impact on the entire chain, from grass to glass, we are uniquely positioned to take a leading role in supporting the development and implementation of the circular economy, in which plastics never become waste.
"To further accelerate in making this a reality, collaboration with all of our chain partners is an absolute necessity. On a local, national and global scale."
