Treasurer Scott Morrison on Friday signed-off on a sale that will see Gina Rinehart's Australian-Chinese consortium Outback Beef take over the majority of the business.

The only property left out of the deal is the defence-sensitive Anna Creek Station and its outstation The Peake, which will be purchased by the neighbouring Williams Cattle Company in the coming days.

Spokesman Wayne Williams said his family was thrilled to finally have confirmation the sale would go through.
