Anchor Kid’s Golden Milk, high in calcium and sweetener-free, is expected to strengthen Fonterra’s position in the market, were it currently enjoys a third of the Chinese child milk market share.

According to market research, China’s premium white milk market is with NZ$8.5 billion, 42 per cent of which is children’s milk bought by parents, said Fonterra’s Manoj Namboodiri.

“Anchor Kids’ Golden Milk targets this group who prefer milk from a high-quality milk source and with no sweeteners or additives,” said Mr Namboodiri. “We’ve also added vitamins for kids to ensure parents can see the additional nutritional value in the product for their children.”
