National food safety surveillance organisation Rosselkhoznadzor imposed the ruling on 17 April which extends to all plant products, including cheese, whey and milk powder.

The safety of Mlekovita has been reassured by company President Dariusz Sapinski who denies bacterial contamination, according to reports by dairy news Russia.

The ban comes 15 days after a dairy blockade on another Polish company – Mleczarsk based cooperative ROTR.
