Two meat refrigeration plants in Parana are able to export beef following state lobbying efforts, says the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Trade.

“This will enhance the Russian supply picture and Brazilian exports continue to grow,” said Secretary of International Relations, Marcelo Junqueira.

Parana had a bovine spongiform encephalopathy scare in December 2012.
