The Kerala government has announced the ban, coinciding with border check points to monitor cattle movement, reports the New Indian Express.

There does not extend to milk and dairy or poultry industry, according to Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, K P Mohanan.

District collectors and other government authorities will enforce border controls.
