BRAZIL – One fifth of Brazil’s exported beef comes from the Rondonia region, and more is yet to come say government officials.Estimations from Rondonian Chief of Animal Health at the Ministry for Agriculture, Alferio Clariney, sees a 10 per cent growth by the New Year.
This could mean growth to the state proportion of beef products exported, which is already high at seventy per cent.
Mr Clariney stated the premier destination for Rondonian beef is Hong Kong (89,500 tons), with Egypt a close second at 76, 500.
He added that JBS, Frigon and Minerva share the exporting.
Venezuela, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Israel make up the rest of the state’s customers.
Market penetration is helped hugely by confidence in animal health both within and outside the state.
"All these exports were made possible by the excellent work of animal health developed by the State of Rondônia," said Mr Clariney.
