ARGENTINA – An Argentinian trade delegation has revealed Argentina as the second largest beef exporter to Chile after Brazil.

A Chilean representative stated Argentinian imports accounted for 21 per cent of national beef buying.
The announcement follows a Ministry of Agriculture and Supply visit to beef slaughter houses in Chile, where Argentinian officials received export authorisation.
Traceability and monitoring programmes had been pronounced satisfactory by Chilean inspectors when the visit concluded on 15 November.
