An industry ‘credit line’ of $200 million was confirmed last month to support the industry which is part of a bigger scheme to ‘improve the quality of life for dairy farmers’.

This was the message of Arturo Videla, Dairy Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture when addressing farmers in the town of Farreyra.

He said that more value should return to producers.

“The recipients of the $200 million credit will be small and medium enterprises across the country and can be up to a monthly cheque of $400,000 from milk sales,” said Mr Videla.
