UKRAINE - An outbreak of anthrax has been reported to the OIE by Dr Ivan Bisiuk, Head, State Committee for Veterinary Medicine, Ukraine.

The outbreak occurred at Makiyivka, Smila district, Cherkassy.
The outbreak resulted in one case and led to the animal being destroyed.
Affecting a defined zone within the country, the source of the outbreak is unknown.
Control measures are being applied.
