Fall In Retail Prices For Dairy Products

UKRAINE - According to the Antimonopoly Committee in Ukraine, retail prices for dairy products and poultry meat are set to fall.

The Antimonopoly Committee points to reduction of retail prices for dairy products and poultry meat, the committee said.

Ukrainian News Agency reports it is said that the retail prices fell due to Antimonopoly Committee's requirements announced for major producers of products and retail networks.

According to the report, retail prices for dairy products fell by on average 10 to 15 per cent, and by about 25 per cent for hard cheese and chilled poultry meat by five per cent.

The committee also said that the largest trading networks such as Metro-Ukraine, ATB-market, Pakko-Holding, Foodmarket, Ashan, Adventis and Furshet have obliged to ensure founded prices for that products and sign direct contracts on delivery.

The same news agency reported last month that the Antimonopoly Committee recommended that 10 of the largest commercial networks lower retail prices for dairy products and poultry meat in a line with reduction of prices for that goods by the producers.
