Meat Hope Put Rabbit In Ground beef, Test Shows
JAPAN - Former executives of bankrupt meatpacking company Meat Hope Co. mixed rabbit meat into ground meat mislabeled as 100 percent beef, according to DNA analysis by Hokkaido police.

Minoru Tanaka, 69, the former president, and three former executives were arrested Wednesday under the Unfair Competition Prevention Law on suspicion of mislabeling the ground meat containing pork and chicken.
The suspects are accused of selling about 138 tons of the ground meat that also contained mutton and duck in 327 unsold lots in the about one year up to late June.
