A Flood Of Neglected Livestock Complaints

NEW ZEALAND - The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is receiving an increasing number of complaints about neglected livestock.

It says there has been a 40% rise in the number of animal abuse cases in the Far North in the past two months.

SPCA inspector Jim Boyd says it is the first time he can remember that complaints relating to livestock have exceeded those involving domestic animals.
