The WAFarmers Federation says milk discounting could force more farmers out of the industry

The farm lobby group is concerned milk processors could get caught up in a discounting war, in an attempt to gain greater share of the market.

Dairy president Peter Evans says this could force more farmers out of the industry.

Mr Evans says the federation is opposed to any sort of reduction in the price of milk because Western Australian milk is already about $1 cheaper than the rest of the country.
