Mr Kejriwal said, "Those who ask for votes in the name of cows should at least arrange for their fodder.

"I have learnt that the Haryana government only keeps aside ₹140 per cow per year for their well-being, which comes to about 40 paise per day.

"But in Delhi, ₹40 is provided per cow per day, following directions of the Supreme Court."

Mr Kejriwal also attacked the BJP-run municipal corporations.

He claimed they are supposed to pay half the amount or ₹20 but have not done so for the last three years.
