Beef Becoming Dearer in Korea

SOUTH KOREA - Most domestic and imported beef prices are lifting, while certain cuts get cheaper, say market analysts.

Chuck roll and brisket – from the US - bounced back to prices of a fortnight ago, while US short rib slipped four per cent.

Australian chuck roll slipped 2 per cent, continuing a three week decline, although prices stay five per cent ahead of this time last year, according to Meat and Livestock Australia.

Hawnoo beef lifted to one per cent and 14 per cent above last week and the year on year price respectively.
