German Farm Economics 'Significantly Worse' than March
GERMANY – German agriculture is suffering from a downturn in grain, dairy and cattle prices, while a drop in input costs and improving pork markets are benefiting some producers.

An economic barometer from the German Farmers Association (DBV) for June has highlighted that markets are tougher than in March.
A further challenge, particularly in the north, is higher rents, while arable farmers are looking forward to a ‘good harvest’.
The DBV forecast said: “On average, the respondents gave a value of 3.18 on a scale from 1 to 5 obtained which fails currently significantly worse than in the March survey of 3.09.”
