Daily Dairy Trading: Spot Trades See Nonfat Dry Milk Lift
US – Nonfat Dry Milk (NDM) was the main mover in the spot markets yesterday as Butter sold well on a high of $1.6100.One lot of Grade A standard NDM traded for $1.8200, down 2.50 cents as eleven trades were reported for Butter which has hit a price ceiling this week after a period on the up.
At current spot values, Butter sits nearly seven cents above the prior week mean although has only gains 0.5 cents this week.
Bidders mustered five trades for Cheddar Blocks leading to a two cent lift settling spot values at $1.7500.
Dairy futures showed stability, with Class IV October Milk holding at $20.19 from its close on Wednesday.
Class III October Milk gained eight cents, closing on $18.00.
