Daily Dairy Trading: Markets Largely Static as Butter Sales Continue, Thursday
US – Spot market Butter sales reported strong buying, registering seven trades as most commodities remained unchanged.Thursday’s trades take the weekly total to 31 but no change was seen in Butter's closing price which finished on $1.5300.
The only mover was Cheddar Blocks which edged down following an offer for 0.25 cents lower. Blocks started the week on $1.8200 indicating a recent steady decline.
Dairy futures were rather static; September Class III milk lost a cent at $18.14, Class IV stayed on $19.49. Cheese remained on $1.7920 after decreases earlier in the week.
Butter dropped the most, falling to $1..4524, a drop of $0.75, continuing the week’s downward progression.
