Average UK Milk Price Down
UK - The average farm gate price of milk in the UK in October was 29.06 pence per litre, 0.03 pence per litre lower than in October 2011, according to the latest statistics from the Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs.

In October 2012 the average butterfat content of UK milk was 4.20 per cent, compared with 4.13 per cent in October 2011.
The average protein content of UK milk was 3.33 per cent in October, compared with 3.32 per cent in October 2011.
