Thanks to the mobilisation of the Department of Agriculture Services, Food, Fisheries, Rural Affairs and Planning, and the Agency of services and payment, farmers have been paid three months before the usual date of payment.

These payments supplement the payment of the balance of the national share of the premium for suckler cows (PNSVA) that was last paid to farmers on Feb 2nd 2011. The payments constitute an important contribution of cash to holdings which help producers overcome any financial problems.

A spokesperson for Bruno Le Maire, said that he is very attentive to the difficulties of farming and these prepayments, which represent major financial assistance, demonstrate the mobilisation of government to assist producers.
