The latest release shows the latest monthly information on the average UK farm gate milk prices and the UK average butterfat and protein of milk delivered to dairies.
In December 2010, the UK average farm gate price of milk (excluding bonuses) was 26.14 pence per litre, 1.44 pence per litre higher than in the same month of 2009.
The average butterfat content of UK milk in December was 4.15 per cent, compared with 4.10 per cent in December 2009, while the average protein content was 3.37 per cent, compared with 3.32 per cent in December 2009.
