Three More FMD Outbreaks in Mongolia

MONGOLIA - The Mongolian veterinary authorities have reported three new outbreaks of foot and mouth disease in the Tuv and Govi-sumber provinces.

The World Organsation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 4 yesterday, 24 November. The affected population comprises sheep/goats and cattle.

The three outbreaks were observed on 19 November. A total of 59 cattle were found affected. All affected animals were destroyed.

The source of the outbreak remains unknown.
